1. Overview

AI Humanizer Lab Inc. ("AI Humanizer Lab," "we," "us," or "our") provides the AI Humanizer, AI Detector, Paraphraser, Grammar Checker, and Citation Checker tools available at aihumanizerlab.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

Every tool works without an account. Creating a free account is optional and only used to save your generation history across sessions and devices.

2. Information We Collect

Content you submit: the text you paste, type, or upload (PDF, DOCX, or TXT) into any tool, and the rewritten or analyzed output we return to you.

Account information (only if you sign in): your email address, display name, and profile picture, provided by Google when you sign in with your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password — authentication is handled entirely by Google.

Usage and device information: your IP address, approximate rate of requests, browser/device type, and the pages and tools you visit. We use your IP address to enforce fair-use limits and to protect the Service from automated abuse, as described below.

Analytics identifiers: if you accept our cookie banner, a pseudonymous device/session identifier is created by Google Analytics and Amplitude (see "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" below).

Anti-abuse signals: when you run a tool, an invisible Google reCAPTCHA v3 challenge runs in the background and sends technical signals (such as your interaction with the page) to Google to help us confirm you are not a bot.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service: to run the tool you selected on the text you submitted and return a result to you.

To save your history: if you are signed in, we store your recent inputs and outputs so you can revisit them from the History page.

To enforce fair use and prevent abuse: we track word volume and request rate per IP address and per account to apply the free-usage limits described in our Terms of Service, and to detect and block automated scraping or denial-of-service-style traffic.

To operate and improve the Service: to diagnose errors, monitor performance, and understand in aggregate which tools and features are used, via the analytics described below.

To communicate with you: to respond to support requests sent to us and, if you have an account, to send you service-related messages (for example, confirming a sign-in).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the text you submit to train third-party foundation models. Text sent to our AI Humanizer / Paraphraser subprocessor (see "Third-Party Processors" below) is used only to generate your result and is not retained by that subprocessor for model training under our agreement with them.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use a small number of cookies. A first-party cookie (aih_cookie_consent) remembers your cookie choice for one year. If you are signed in, an HttpOnly session cookie keeps you logged in for up to 30 days; it cannot be read by JavaScript or third-party scripts.

Analytics and advertising-adjacent cookies only load after you accept our cookie banner. When enabled, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may set cookies such as _ga, _gid, and _gcl*, and Amplitude may set a cookie prefixed AMP. Before you accept, Google Consent Mode keeps ad and analytics storage set to "denied" by default.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your cookies or changing your browser's cookie settings; declining or withdrawing consent will disable Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Amplitude, but will not affect the core functionality of the tools.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site retargeting.

5. Third-Party Processors

Some of your information is processed by service providers acting on our behalf, each bound by its own privacy terms:

• OpenRouter — receives the text you submit only when you use the AI Humanizer or Paraphraser tools, in order to generate a rewritten result. The AI Detector, Grammar Checker, and Citation Checker run on models we operate ourselves and do not send your text to this or any other third party.

• Google — processes your basic profile information if you choose to sign in with your Google account, and also provides reCAPTCHA (bot protection), Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.

• Amplitude — provides product-usage analytics (which features are used, how often), gated behind cookie consent.

• Hetzner Online GmbH — our infrastructure hosting provider, based in Germany, which stores the servers and databases the Service runs on.

We do not permit any of these providers to use your data for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only: (a) with the third-party processors listed above, to the extent necessary to provide the Service; (b) if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of AI Humanizer Lab, our users, or the public, including enforcing our Terms of Service and Responsible Use Policy; or (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply to your information.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

Fair-use tracking data tied to your IP address is automatically deleted after 30 days.

If you have an account, we keep your saved generation history (the most recent 100 entries per tool) until you delete individual entries yourself from the History page, or until you request deletion of your account. There is currently no automatic time-based expiry on saved history beyond that 100-entry cap, so we recommend deleting entries you no longer need.

If you ask us to delete your account by emailing support@aihumanizerlab.com, we will delete your account record and associated history within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; receive a portable copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent (for example, to analytics cookies) at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You can exercise most of these rights yourself: delete individual history entries from the History page, or manage cookie consent in your browser. For anything else — including a full account deletion or a data-access request — email support@aihumanizerlab.com. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents: we do not sell or "share" (as that term is defined under the CPRA) your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in Germany. Some of our service providers (including our AI-processing and analytics subprocessors) are based in or process data in the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized under applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and users between 13 and 15 should only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@aihumanizerlab.com and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections between your browser and our servers, HttpOnly session cookies, and access controls limiting who at AI Humanizer Lab can access stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner on the site). Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
